In recent days, to achieve it's chilling effect, the Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) beganit's new wave of arresting dissidents.International community

firm rejection ofthe universal values of freedom and democracyis completely
opposite to its original set of ideologiesof the communist revolution. It
has become a group protecting its own power. It refuses all that it feels
may harm its interests.

The same day, the UK Department of Foreign Affairssaid in its "2010 Human
Rights & Democracy Report"that CCP's 『2-year Action Plan for Human
Rights'has expired, while its human rightsand political openness
deteriorated.

According to BBC, this report shows thatChinese authorities strengthened
suppressionon human rights activities and freedom of speech, with an unclear
and inconsistent law enforcement..China was one of 26 countries
mentionedthat require attention on human rights issues.

Amnesty International's Asia-Pacific regional leader,Sam Zarifi told VOA
that Chinese authoritiesare increasingly sensitive to criticism, andthe
suppression has extended to thosewho should not even be considered
dissidents.Zarifi is worried about this trend in China.

Hong Kong's Human Rights Defenders (HRD)website described the Chinese
activists to besurviving in a "hostile and dangerous environment".

HRD points out, that as per 2010 records there are3544 『arrests at will'
cases, 118 torture cases, and 36 activist disappearance cases.
